Phase 2 – Relaxations
19th June 2020
Following the announcement from the First Minister and the updated guidance from both the Government and Scottish Golf, the following changes are being made to the playing conditions at Luffness.
From Wednesday 24 June (as previously advised)
- Tee times will start from 8am and run through to 7pm.
From Saturday 20 June
- Three balls will be allowed throughout the day for 3 members or two members and a guest. Single and 2 ball play is still allowed.
- The tee sheet layout will be amended to allow for a third name to be added to a booking.
- Existing bookings can be amended by going to the “My Bookings” tab and adding or deleting names or deleting the whole booking.
- Members are asked to ensure un-wanted bookings are removed.
- Members are also reminded that pace of play has been excellent with only two ball play. It is hoped that the move to three balls will not cause any issues in this regard and the general rule of allowing faster moving groups to play through should always be adhered to.
- Members will be able to introduce and include one guest in a tee time. This no longer is restricted to a member of their own household – it can be any guest.
As a thank you for your cooperation and patience during this period there will be no charge for these guests. This will apply up to the date that the clubhouse can open again.
Members are reminded that the normal rules regarding guests still apply – no individual (except wives / partners) can be introduced more than once in any calendar month.
The practice ground will be open under the following conditions:-
- Member use only
- One member using the practice range at any time.
- Must use own balls and collect them
- Maximum of 30 minutes practice if another member is waiting.
- 1 member may wait at the practice tee for the current user to finish but must maintain appropriate distance.
The 5 hole course will be available under the following conditions:-
- Max two persons per group – can include a guest
- Max two groups on the course at any time
- No waiting at the course if already two groups there.
- No practising on the course – no hitting multiple balls.
What hasn’t changed:-
- Members must book times before play on the online system
- The clubhouse remains completely closed – no access for any reason including toilets.
- Players must arrive not earlier than 15 minutes before their tee times or stay in their car until that time.
- Change shoes at the car.
- Buggies and hire trolleys are not available although we are looking at what would be required to make the provision of buggies possible. We will update members shortly.
- No touching the flag sticks at any time.
- Use hand sanitiser provided.
- Maintain 2 metre distance from others at all times.
ALL THESE CONDITIONS WILL BE KEPT UNDER CONSTANT REVIEW AND MAY BE CHANGED AT ANY TIME IF NECESSARY.
AT ALL TIMES AT THE CLUB PLEASE MAINTAIN THE REQUIRED SOCIAL DISTANCING FROM OTHERS
