Return to Golf

We are delighted that golf has resumed at Luffness.  Members must be aware that there are still considerable restrictions in place and these are highlighted below: –

TRAVEL

  • Please we ask that members consider the government’s advice as to traveling for leisure or recreation.
  • Please do not travel to the Club if you, or any of your family are in the: –
      • Shielding or restricted category, or
      • Are displaying any of the Covid-19 symptoms, or
      • are feeling unwell.
  • Please do not travel to the Club if you have not booked or have not been included in a tee booking.
  • Please do not arrive more that 15 minutes before your tee time and leave immediately afterwards – do not wait for other groups to finish.

BOOKING

  • Golf is currently permitted between 9am and 7pm.  No golf is allowed outwith these times.
  • Play is currently in two balls only.
  • We ask that all golfers restrict your golf to twice within the next 7 days (Friday to Thursday).  However, members may book a time and play on the same day if there are times available.  On the day bookings will not count towards your two games a week.
  • All tee times must be booked with both players names inserted on the system.
  • The tee sheets will continue to become available for bookings up to 7 days in advance.
  • Bookings can include two members or one member and an individual of their current household. No other guests or visitors are allowed.
  • If for any reason you find yourself unable to play please be considerate to other members and cancel your time particularly when the tee sheet is full.

GOLF

  • All play must start from the 1st tee.
  • Social distancing of 2 metres must be adhered to all times.
  • Please do not touch or remove the flagsticks.
  • All course furniture (ball washers, bins, seats) have been removed or covered.  We ask that you refrain from touching these.
  • There are currently no rakes in the bunker.  You may remove your ball or play it as it lies and smooth over the sand as best you can with your foot or back of your club.
  • The electric caddy car shed is available, but please take care when using it to ensure requirements regarding social distancing and the touching of equipment are complied with.
  • No Club buggies or trolleys are available for hire.
  • Please observe all the specific rules on the course.
  • The practice ground and the short course remain closed.

GENERAL

  • The Clubhouse will remain completely closed and no access is permitted other than for staff.
  • When at the Club please do not linger after your game to socialise or make contact with other golfers out with your group.
  • Be sensible and follow the rules – remember we are subject to public scrutiny of our behaviour.
